Birdie named ... prizes won !!

Emails from around the world came winging their way to the Pacific Pin Club in response to the Name the Birdie monthly contest.

The Birdie

This month's bird was originally thought to be the extremely shy, rare and elusive Double-Breasted, Ring-Necked, Three-Plumed Golden Zavarella from the lowlands of Eastern Cameroon.

It is, in fact, Sagittarius serpentarius or the Secretary Bird found in sub-Saharan Africa. Click here for more information on this month's bird.
