Planning on track for 2009 Olympin Show

January 24, 2009

Site visits to the Richmond Olympic Oval and Richmond Curling Club were completed this week as part of the planning for the upcoming 2009 Olympin Collectors Club Show this August.

Club co-president Frank Zavarella and Membership and Finance Chair Bob Barquest toured both venues to ensure the requirements of Club members, Show delegates and venue owners were considered in the layout and planning of the Show and related events.

"We want to ensure the Show is an outstanding success and we need to do both our homework and planning well in advance." stated Frank. "We looked at everything from hours of operation to onsite security, and from liability insurance to the location of elevators and washrooms."

"We also want to make the registration, tour and banquet fees affordable for our Club members and out-of-town guests," added Bob. "As the Show organizer, it's our due diligence now that will make it an outstanding experience for everyone who attends."

Venue and related fees, tour costs and banquet prices will soon be finalized and the 2009 Olympin Collectors Club Show registration documents will be available online by 15 February 2009.
