Calgary International Pin Club marks 20 years

Calgary International Pin Club president Alex Biletski reports the club marked the 20th Anniversary of the Calgary 1988 Olympic Winter Games with events at Canada Olympic Park and the Olympic Oval earlier this year.
"Many of our members got their start in 1988 and we hope the 20th Anniversary activities will encourage former members to reconnect and new members to join and help celebrate 20 Years of Spirit," states Alex.
The Club commissioned a special pin to mark the event. Designed by Club member Jim McMahon and manufactured by Laurie Artiss Ltd - The Pin People of Regina, Saskatchewan the pin is a must have - and only 100 were made.

The pin will be available at the Club's annual Pin Festival on the Labour Day long weekend in August, and at the 27th Annual Calgary 2008 Olympin Collectors Club Show in October.

What is the Pacific Pin Club?
The Pacific Pin Club is Western Canada's premiere organization for lapel pin collectors and traders. Founded in 1987, the Club is entering its 22nd year of generating awareness and interest in pin collecting and promoting the hobby in British Columbia, across Canada and around the World.
